Terms of Use

AutoEar Ltd · Manchester, UK · Last updated 2026
Safety first. AutoEar guidance is informational and is not a substitute for inspection by a qualified mechanic. If the vehicle feels unsafe, avoid driving and seek professional help.

Informational guidance only

AutoEar helps you triage car noises and prepare a garage-ready report. It does not guarantee the cause of any fault and has not physically inspected your vehicle.

No guarantee of diagnosis

Diagnoses use likely / possible language and are based on the symptoms you describe and any audio you provide. A qualified mechanic must confirm any fault.

Your responsibility for safe driving

You are responsible for all driving decisions. If AutoEar or any warning suggests the vehicle may be unsafe, do not drive it until a professional has inspected it.

Emergency & safety

If you smell burning, see smoke, lose braking or steering, or suspect a safety-critical fault, stop safely and seek professional or emergency help.

Estimated costs

Any repair cost ranges are rough UK estimates only and are not quotes. Actual prices vary by garage, parts and labour.

Garage report sharing

If you send a report to a garage, you consent to sharing the report and your contact details with that garage. Garages are independent businesses; AutoEar is not responsible for their work, quotes or conduct.

AI limitations

AI output can be incomplete or wrong. AutoEar does not analyse raw audio waveforms in this version; audio is supporting context attached to your report.

Account & acceptable use

Free accounts include a limited number of diagnoses per month. Do not misuse the service, attempt to bypass limits, or submit unlawful content.

UK focus

AutoEar is designed for the UK market and launches first in Manchester / Greater Manchester.
